Financial Aid
Financial Aid
(new policy as of March 2026)
To be considered for tuition support, a family must have submitted a Public Schools of Brookline (PSB) Financial Assistance Application and be deemed eligible for financial aid. Please click here to find out more about the process and the application form, which is available in multiple languages.
The Lawrence Guidance Team, will confirm with the PSB Office of Administration and Finance, if a family is eligible to be considered for tuition support for LSA. If eligibility is confirmed, Guidance will recommend either a full or partial award. All financial aid information is kept strictly confidential.
Tuition assistance must be requested during each session enrollment period in SwiftEnroll, and is limited to one class per session per student.
As LSA is a self-funded program, tuition assistance is not guaranteed every session.
If financial aid is requested during a session enrollment period, and your child receives a lottery placement or is signed up for a class during the open enrollment period, it is not possible to pay for classes until your request is reviewed by the Guidance Team. But don’t worry, your spot in the class will be held until a decision is made.
There may be times when tuition support is only applied to classes that do not have a wait list. If you are approved for tuition support, it is expected that the student will attend a majority of the classes. If there is a significant absence from the class, the student/family may not be considered for tuition assistance in the future.
